Environmentally-adapted display cases at the Swedish Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities

The Swedish Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities in Stockholm chose Milox Protective Display Cases for its “Expedition” exhibition, in part because they provide the high security required. Beautiful woodwork with details in brass and mirror glass allows these display cases to be integrated into their surroundings. Smaller pieces on display are kept in pullout drawers with lights that switch on and off.

Climate control and fibre-optic lighting also play important roles in displaying the museum's objects.

Fiber optic lighting can be used in display cases and exhibits, while Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) can provide effective lighting with very low energy consumption and, in turn, low heat generation.
